Gary has been in the tourism business since birth. Born and raised in Cavendish, his father started the old Cavendish Esso on the Cavendish corner of routes 6 and 13. This was sold in 1992 to Petro-Canada. His mother was the Postmistress at Green Gables Post Office. People from all over the world have been coming to Cavendish for decades and mailing their postcards from the Green Gables Post Office to get the Green Gables postmark.
Linda came to Cavendish to work at Green Gables House in 1972, met Gary while buying gas and never left. She worked in education for 35 + years and is from Acadian and Québécois roots.
We live on the property year round with our golden retriever Cabot. We have two sons, both married to wonderful ladies and we now have four grand-children, William, Katey Jayne, Ethan and Jaxon. Come and visit us and you will likely see most of our clan around the property.
